  6. The easiest way to access the CICNet archive of electronic journals is
  7. by pointing a gopher client to the CICNet gopher. The address of the
  8. CICNET gopher is:  GOPHER.CIC.NET

  10. There are a number of other gophers out there that point to the CICNet
  11. archive, point to other gophers which maintain e-journals, or maintain
  12. their own collection of e-journals. For example, point a gopher client
  13. to North Carolina State's "Library Without Walls":  DEWEY.LIB.NCSU.EDU
  14. and explore "the Stacks".

  21. File Transfer Protocol, or FTP, allows one to look at directories of
  22. files on other computers (yes, that's what gopher does also). FTP is
  23. useful when one wishes to transfer large numbers of files, such as every
  24. issue of a given title, to your own computer.
